Ariston has assembled a leadership team with the capabilities and experience to meet the corporate goals of in-licensing and rapidly developing pharmaceutical products across multiple therapeutic domains:
Malcolm Morville, PhD, President & CEO, joined Ariston in 2003 with 35 years of senior management and R&D experience in public and private pharmaceutical & biotechnology companies, both in Europe and the U.S. During his 18 years at Pfizer, Dr. Morville led teams in the Infectious Diseases, Inflammation/Pulmonary, Metabolic, CNS, GI and Cardiovascular areas. Over the last 17 years, he has held senior roles in both public and private biotechnology organizations, including Immulogic (Head of R&D and Allergic Diseases Strategic Business Unit), Indevus/Interneuron (Board of Directors) and Phytera (President & CEO). In these capacities, Dr. Morville has been involved in raising substantial amounts of equity capital and in forging partnerships with leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. He completed a PhD in biochemistry at the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology, UK.
John (Jack) A. McLane, PhD, VP of Pharmaceutical Development, joined Ariston in 2004 and has 20 years experience in the research and development of pharmaceuticals. During 16 years at Hoffmann-La Roche, Dr. McLane researched and developed a drug for psoriasis, directed NDA programs in Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's and dermatology, and led the filing of INDs and clinical development programs in diabetes, asthma, and COPD. Moving to a small biotechnology company, Dr. McLane was VP of Development responsible for drugs to treat benign prostrate hyperplasia (BHP) and prostatitis. He earned his MS and PhD from University of Rhode Island (URI) in cell biology and conducted postdoctoral research in melanomas at Yale University Medical School.
